Need help with Virtual Targets? Email support@ejstechnologies.com and tell us your phone model and which app you're using (Hockey or Soccer). We usually reply within two business days.

Getting a good setup

  • Use a tripod. The phone has to stay still: the app calibrates once and assumes the camera doesn't move. If the tripod gets bumped, recalibrate.
  • Get the whole net in the frame, including all four corners of the opening.
  • Make the ball or puck stand out. It should contrast with the floor, the net and whatever is behind it. A dark puck on dark pavement is hard to see; an orange ball on the same pavement is easy.
  • Use good light. Daylight or a well-lit room works best.

Common questions

Do I need an internet connection or an account?

No. Everything runs on your phone and there's nothing to sign up for.

Is my video uploaded anywhere?

No. Shots are analysed on the device. Video is saved only if you turn on session recording, and it stays on your phone unless you share it. See our privacy policy.

A shot was missed or placed in the wrong spot.

Check that the phone hasn't moved since you calibrated, that the whole net is in the frame and that the ball stands out from the background. If it keeps happening, email us a description of your setup; a photo of the scene helps a lot.

How do I delete my data?

Delete a session or player in the app to remove its information, photo and recordings, or uninstall the app to remove everything it stored on your phone. Copies in your phone's backups, or that you've shared, aren't affected. See our privacy policy.
